SSRN is a very comprehensive system composed of several specialized research networks for individual specific fields. The core of the system is the SSRN´s eLibrary, which contains around 500,000 full-text materials. An even greater set of materials is available in the form of abstracts. It serves as a starting point for students and teachers in the research process and as a place to communicate their knowledge at an early stage before publication in academic journals.
